Emotion and Memory Systems Laboratory

Department of Psychology • Texas A&M University

The science

Anxiety, stress, and trauma disorders affect nearly a third of the population. We seek to understand the brain circuits underlying emotional memory, particularly circuits that inhibit pathological fear.

The people

Interested in a research career? Students and post-docs in the laboratory conduct original and independent research on ground-breaking problems in affective neuroscience.

The place

The lab is housed in the Interdisciplinary Life Sciences Building on central campus. State-of-the-art facilities support collaborative research in neuroscience, psychology, biology, and biophysics.
